One of the most essential vitamins for your body is vitamin C. Your immunity will greatly benefit from it. You can take this vitamin with or without any food, as it can be found in supplement form or in many different juices. Research tells us that taking too much vitamin C will not benefit your body. You should take enough amounts of vitamin C, though. Vitamin C deficiency often shows itself through swollen gums, unexplained weakness, and nosebleeds. Alcoholism and poor diet make vitamin C deficiency very common nowadays.

Vitamin C can protect your skin from UV rays. Vitamin C has the capacity of repairing damaged skin. You’ll notice that you’ll have better skin when you take vitamin C regularly. Add vitamin E and you’ll notice that your skin blemishes will heal.

Many fruits and veggies are sources of vitamin C, but you’ll get the most of this nutrient from oranges. By drinking a few glasses of orange juice a day, you’ll get your daily vitamin C requirements. You’ll also get plenty of vitamin C by drinking a glass of orange juice and eating a few oranges.

If you would want more vitamin C in your diet, then you can take supplements. When you look for supplements at the store, you should read the labels and see how much vitamin C is in the supplement, and how it works. You should avoid time released supplements of vitamin C, as they haven’t been proven to work as well yet. Adequate intake of vitamin C ensures good health.
